My Dream for Paradise

by Gary Woltal from the United States

I Wish I Had a Magic Wand

The Dreaming of Paradise is a beautiful little tale and I loved the illustrations. It reminded me of that quote, "the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."

Unfortunately in the adult world, too many people get preoccupied with other distractions and seemingly forget their dreams or never slow down long enough to figure out what their dreams are. The other problem I see is that if people do have dreams they never take the most important action - that first step!

Having just passed through our U.S. Thanksgiving holiday I think a large part of creating paradise "right where you are" is having a thankful heart. Gratefulness is a key to happiness and to making the world a better place for all of us. In that sense paradise is experienced along the way, in the journey, and not the final destination.

My dream is pretty simple:

I wish I had a magic wand so I could get everyone to love everyone else. This would be shown by kindness towards each other and treating each other with utmost respect.

That's it. That would be my idyllic world. It certainly would stop all the wars and man's inhumanity to man...
