If you whitelisted the address the mail was sent from (this information was shown online during registration) and also checked your junk folder with no results, then your ISP is probably blocking the confirmation email.
We know there are issues with Hotmail and Hotmail Live since they changed their policy recently. Basically any free mail service is unreliable in its delivery of mail you requested. Comcast has also blocked our mails in the past.
Then maybe you simply made a typo when you entered your email address. Try to register again or otherwise submit a customer support request and provide an alternative email address. We will edit your account with the new address and send you the login information again.
